The apparent simplicity of this design relies on successfully resolving all complexities associated with nature of the site and unusual nature of the commercial agreement of our clients with owners. Carefully considered massing and levels minimizes impact on amenity of neighbours while achieving impressing views over the harbour for all three dwellings.
Personally, I see this project as fantastic socio-economy related learning material as the whole team had to navigate through passing of the D&BP Act, one of the most significant changes construction industry in Australia has seen; and the pandemic related construction industry volatility. The outcome in terms of built aesthetics, the quality of detailing and design features stays shy of its potential in my opinion, but considering what everyone had to go through I consider it a solid outcome nevertheless!
